Gabriel's Obituary

Gabriel Ethan Gant, 18, of South Haven, Michigan went to be with the Lord on May 23, 2009.

Gabriel was born on October, 21, 1990 to Earl and Shirley (Lawrence) Gant in South Haven, Michigan. Gabriel was a 2008 graduate from South Haven High School. While in high school he participated in band, football and basketball. He was a member of the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians. Gabriel worked for AKA Muffler and Brake in Hartford and at Performance Automotive and was looking forward to starting his new job as a cook at the South Haven Big Boy Restaurant where his mother and sister works. Gabriel hoped to move to Traverse City. He was proud of purchasing his first car on his own, you could hear Gabe coming a mile away crusing with his friends listening to his favorite C.D.’s Gabe attended Lake Michigan College majoring in business with hopes of one day owning his own business. Gabriel also loved NASCAR and was a fan of Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson. Gabe enjoyed traveling, shopping, getting Tattoos and spending time with family including playing with his little nieces and nephews. Gabriel was a member of the Miracle Harvest Church in South Haven.

Gabriel is preceded in death by his father – Earl P. Gant Sr. who died in 2005 and brother - Pierre Gant.

He is survived by his mother - Shirley Gant of South Haven, Michigan. 2 Brother – Earl Gant Jr. of Chicago, Illinois and Eon (Kim) Gant of Bay City, Michigan. His sisters –Sonja Gant Meza of Traverse City, Michigan, Shirley (Tracey) Smith of Grand Junction, Michigan, Sherry (Danlee) Gant-Christopher of Grand Junction, Michigan and his secondary siblings – Xochilt Meza , Abraham Meza and Michael Meza all of Traverse City, Michigan. Many cousins, nieces and nephews also survive. He also leaves behind many friends, one day we’ll all be together.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 26, from 5 to 6:30 PM at the Miracle Harvest Church of South Haven. A memorial service will begin a 6:30. Funeral service will be on Wednesday, May 27 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Anthony Kuenzli officiating. Burial will take place Chambers Cemetery, Geneva Township.
