To Julie, Brock, and Cheryl - Don was a great guy and will be missed by all. He was such a kind hearted fun loving person. I can still hear his outrageous laugh........I can remember the Michigan games. Probably never would have experienced such a thing without Don. Little league games, high school games, trash talking, fishing on Lake Michigan, and the parties at the house. Great memories. Hang in there you guys. I'm thinking of you and wish I could be there. Dear Julie, Lainee and Phil, Brock, Cheryl and family, We were so shocked to hear about Don. Please accept our deepest sympathy. I'll never forget how nervous I was the first time Don saw Barron. Since he made me pick out the puppy he was to buy many weeks before, I was so afraid he would find something wrong with him. Don reached down and picked up the puppy, looking him over from nose to tail. With the biggest grin and his eyes twinkling he looked at me and said," he's just perfect, Wanda." Thus began the love of Don and Barron. I will miss that twinkle in his eyes. I will miss that one of a kind laugh that you could hear before you ever reached the top of the stairs at the Elk's club. Dear Julie, Lainee, Brock, Cheryl, Mom and Dad. It's hard to believe Uncle Don's gone. I'll miss his laugh and hearing him say "Hey Kid." Moving hay in the barn (he directed), sitting on the back porch in the evenings talking and watching the fireflies. I know how much he loved each of you and was loved in return.
