Anne's Obituary
Anne Barbara Palmer, 86, of South Haven died Tuesday, March 17 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo.
She was born June 21, 1922 in Chicago, Illinois to Charles and Anna (Lumpkin) Turner. Anne worked as a special education teacher retiring after 30 years in the Chicago area. She also worked at N & R Department Store as a sales clerk and the Liberty Hyde Bailey Museum. Anne volunteered for We Care Inc. Anne was a member of the Scott Club and the First Baptist Church both in South Haven. Anne loved to collect old fashion refrigerator ornaments and hand painted plates and cups. Anne also loved her dogs.
She is preceded in death along with her parents by her husband – Samuel Palmer. Daughter – Brenda Wallace. Two brothers – George Turner and Clarence Turner also precedes her.
She is survived by her daughter - Miriam (George) Woods of South Haven. Five grandchildren – Pattie Bentley, Kevin Guyton, Georgette Woods, Kenneth Wallace and Kimberly Wallace. Five great grandchildren also survive.
