Vytautas "Victor"'s Obituary

Vytautas “Victor” Guzys, 83, of South Haven died Friday, November 28 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo.

He was born February 16, 1925 in Kaunas, Lithuania to Patras and Ona Guzys. Vytautas married Sofija Jukneuicinte on August 6, 1949 in Germany. He worked as a wood worker for the Everett Piano Factory making piano benches. He later worked for Art Overhuel as a handyman. Vytautas religiously played the Michigan Lotto. He loved to feed the ducks along the river and ride his scooter.

He is preceded in death along with his parents by his wife – Sofija Guzys who died in 1993.

He is survived by his Four sons – Ed (Angie) Danapils of St. Joseph, Michigan. Walt (Anne) Danapilis of Bangor, Michigan. Pete (Sharon) Danapilis, and Lonnie Guzys both of South Haven, Michigan. Two daughters – Victoria Peoples and Chris (Mike) Zordel both of South Haven, Michigan. 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
