Janet Irene's Obituary
Janet I. Hanners, 62, of Bangor died Thursday, November 6 at Kairos Dwelling Hospice in Kalamazoo.
She was born January 29, 1946 in South Haven, Michigan to Robert Earl and Jean (Edick) Quakenbush. Janet lived in Bangor all her live.
She is preceded in death along with her father who died in 2003 by her son – Richard Hanners in 1970, and her brother - Richard Quakenbush in 1969.
She is survived by her husband – Charles Hanners of Bangor, Michigan whom she married February 8, 1964. Her son – Brad (Kathy) Hanners of South Haven, Michigan and daughter – Kelly Reese of Bangor, Michigan. Nine grandchildren – Brad Hanners Jr., Misty Hogmire, Matt Hanners, Brandon Johnson, Cody Montgomery, Brandy Johnson, Jordon Hanners, Robert Hanners and Jeffery Bochman. She is also survived by her mother – Jean Quakenbush of Winter Haven, Florida. One sister – Joyce Davis of Winter Haven, Florida and one brother – Robert Quakenbush of Bloomingdale. A host of nieces, nephews and friends also survive.
A memorial service will be held at the American Legion in Bangor on Friday, November 14 from 5 – 8 P.M. Memorial contributions can be made to the family.
