Ruwa Anthony Wallace

Ruwa Anthony Wallace, 32, of South Haven died Sunday, March 9 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo.

He was born January 16, 1976 in Lawrence, Michigan to Ronald and Geraldine (Winfield) Wallace. Ruwa graduated from Lawrence High School in 1995. He married Danyell O’Flynn on June 3, 2000 at the Covert Lions Club. Ruwa worked as a Radiation Worker at Palisades Nuclear Power Plant and other plants around the country for the past several years. Ruwa was a body builder and entered body building competitions throughout the country. Recently, Ruwa placed 2nd in Eastern Michigan making him nationally qualified for a body building competition in South Carolina. Ruwa also enjoyed collecting Star Wars memorabilia. Ruwa enjoyed cars especially his Maroon Ford Mustang. Ruwa loved making mixed CD’s for himself his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife – Danyell Wallace of South Haven, Michigan. One son – Nathaniel O’Flynn and one daughter – Lannette O’Flynn both of South Haven, Michigan. His Father – Ronald Wallace of Bangor, Michigan and Mother – Geraldine Wallace of Lawrence, Michigan. Two brothers – Ronald Wallace Jr. of Battle Creek, Michigan and Jezreal Wallace of Bangor, Michigan and one sister - Zemiriah (Teddy) Garrett of Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 13, from 2 -4 & 6 -8 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday, March 14, at the Anchor Baptist Church at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Bobby Walker and Pastor Theron Crawford officiating. Memorial contribution can be made to the family.
