Geraldine's Obituary
Sadie Geraldine Buelow, 93, of South Haven died Friday, November 2 at her home.
She was born June 15, 1914 in South Haven, Michigan to Fred and Ethel Gunterberg. She attended Westgate School and graduated from South Haven High School. After retiring from General Telephone Company, Herb and Gerry spent many happy winters in Arizona near family members. Gerry was a member of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church and a lifetime member of Eastern Star. Gerry enjoyed reading, walking, knitting, baking and cooking.
She is preceded in death along with her parents by her husband – Herbert Buelow who died in 2001, 2 brothers – Donald and Raymond Gunterberg, a sister – Gladys Amrein and a great grandson – Devin Davies.
She is survived by two daughters – Jeanette Seiler (Art) Roderick and Lorraine (Doug) Wattrick both of South Haven. Grandchildren – Laurie (Charles) Palanca, Linda Seiler Davies, Richard (Beth) Seiler, Ronald (Joy) Seiler, Steven (Sue) Wattrick, Kenneth Wattrick, James (Erika) Wattrick, 14 great-grandchildren. Her beloved brother – Bill Gunterberg of Arizona and her identical sister and dearest friend – Wilderine DeWaters of Three Oaks, Michigan and a large extended family also survive.
Visitation will Sunday, November 4 from 7 – 8 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home and Monday from 10 – 11 at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church. Memorial service will begin Monday at 11:00 A.M. at the church with Rev. Robert Linstrom officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church.
