Lillie Mae's Obituary
Lillie Mae Walker age 68, of South Haven, Michigan died Saturday, October 27, at her home.
Lillie was born August 31, 1939 to Elijah and Daisy McKnight in Carver, South Carolina. In her younger years, Lillie worked as a home maker in several private homes in Chicago. She moved to South Haven in 1973. Lillie enjoyed playing cards and watching TV. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and all of their family outings.
Lillie was preceded in death by her first husband, Willie Lee Warrens. A daughter, Renee Walker. Five brothers – Buck, Hezekiah, James, Richard and Preston McKnight.
Surviving are three daughters – Cathy (Terry) Whitfield of South Haven. Teresa Williams of Hartford, Michigan and Colleena (Leon) Cunningham of South Haven. Three sons – Willie (Delphine) Warrens of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Curtis (Tonya) Williams of Battle Creek, Michigan and Marcus (Rebecca) Walker of South Haven. Eighteen grand children, Eleven great grand children. One sister – Cora Bell McKnight of Chicago, Illinois. Also surviving are her former husbands – Charles Williams and Joseph Walker.
A wake will be held on Tuesday, October 30, from 1 to 2:00 PM at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 PM immediately following the wake with Rev. Eddie Swans officiating.
