Clarence's Obituary
Clarence Arthur Lundy, 90, of South Haven died September 15, 2007 at his home.
He was born September 14, 1917 in South Haven, Michigan to Ray B. and Martha (Zessin) Lundy. Clarence graduated from South Haven High School in 1936. Clarence married Mary Brady on December 19, 1942 in Ypsilanti, Michigan. He worked in electrical construction during the war. After World War II he went into the amusement business with his friend Abe Ashen. In 1958 he took over the family business, Lundy Electric, which was started by his father in 1920. He operated that business until 1982 when his son Ray took over. Clarence enjoyed golf and was a member of the South Haven Country Club. Clarence was a member of the Church of the Epiphany Episcopal Church.
He is preceded in death along with his parents by his brother, Irvin Lundy. Two sisters - Marjorie Mead and Dorothy Holcomb.
He is survived by his wife – Mary Lundy of South Haven, Michigan. One son – Ray (Amy) Lundy of South Haven, Michigan. Two daughters – Jane (Jeffrey) Puvogel of Vicksburg, Michigan and Kathryn Lundy of Greenville, South Carolina. Five grandchildren – Jill (David) Adamski, Jenny (Gregg Baustian) Puvogel, and Kelly (Joaquin) Romero, Claire Lundy and Thomas Lundy. Four great grandchildren – Haley, Kelsey and Jeffrey Adamski and Maria Romero.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 19, at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Epiphany Episcopal Church in South Haven with The Reverend Andrew Gross officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to the Church of the Epiphany, 410 Erie St. South Haven, MI 49090 of the Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan, 310 E. Sherwood St. Decatur, MI 49045.
