Albert's Obituary
Albert Thomas Jr., 73, of South Haven departed this life on Friday, August 17 at Laurels of Hudsonville.
He was born May 23, 1934 to the late Albert and Mamie Thomas Sr. Albert married his high school sweetheart, Gladys Townsend on January 2, 1956 and relocated to South Haven, Michigan to this Union 9 children were born. One son preceded him in death. Albert was very active in the Masonic Mason where he’s a member of J.W. Hood Lodge #43. He was very devoted and dedicated with his lodge until his illness.
He leaves to cherish his memories – His wife Gladys, 4 sons – Glenn (Val) Thomas of Richmond, Virginia, Zelford (Carol) Thomas of Richmond, Virginia, Albert III (Gwen) Thomas of Lexington, Kentucky and Avery (Carol) Cook of West Point, Mississippi. Five daughters – Eunice (Frank) Love-Randell of West Point, Mississippi, Brenda (Terry) Murdaugh, Hinesville, Georgia, Vanesta (Edward) Vaughan of Kentwood, Michigan, Jeanie (Alan) Sparks of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Yvette (Anthony) Thomas-Smith of Richmond, Virginia. 20 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and associates also survive.
