Neil's Obituary
Neil Andrew Valentine, 57, of South Haven died Thursday, August 16 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo.
He was born February 15, 1950 in Portland, Oregon to William Lewis and Phyllis (Klein) Valentine. Neil received his BA from Arizona State University and his MBA from Michigan State University. He married Christine DeVries on August 31, 1975.
Neil worked as a manager at Dana Corporation. Neil was a member of the First Congregational Church.
He is preceded in death by his father – William Lewis Valentine.
He is survived by his wife – Christine (DeVries) Valentine of South Haven. Two children – Nicholas Valentine of Boston, Massachusetts and Laura Valentine of Madison, Wisconsin. His mother – Phyllis Valentine of Milwaukie, Oregon. Sister – Thaya (Glenn George) Valentine and their son – Caylen of Mill A, Washington. Two brothers – Craig Valentine of Alameda, California and Keith Valentine of Everett, Washington.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 19 from 2 – 4 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Memorial services will be Monday at 1:00 P.M. at the First Congregational Church with Rev. Jeffrey S. Dick and Rev. Steve Charnley officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to the Arthritis Foundation.
