Robert's Obituary
Robert Calhoun, 76, of South Haven died Wednesday, June 27 at home surrounded by his family.
He was born April 30, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan to Wilbert and Anna Belle (Taylor) Calhoun. Bob married Norma Burweger on August 1, 1952. Bob worked as a manager for Firestone Tire mostly in Lansing, Michigan retiring in 1984. He was a life member of the South Haven Black River Lions Club. Bob enjoyed boating, sailing and bowling.
He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years – Norma Calhoun of South Haven. Two children – Michael (Judy) Calhoun of Owosso, Michigan and Kathleen (John) Tingley of Bourbonnais, Illinois. Four grandchildren – Kristin (Tom) Damon, Ryan Calhoun, Danielle (Jonah) Ralston and Evan Tingley. One great grandchild – Leah Damon. One brother – Wilbert (Delores) Calhoun of Port Hope, Michigan also survives.
Visitation will be Friday, June 29 from 6 – 8 and Saturday from 10 – 11 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Rev. Robert Linstrom officiating. Memorial contribution can be made to South Haven Area Hospice or Alzheimer’s Association.
