Veneta's Obituary
Veneta Maxine Ethridge, 77, of South Haven died Thursday, April 12 at home.
She was born May 25, 1929 in Holcomb, Missouri to Henry and Hattie (Ballard) Samples. Veneta married Charles Ethridge on July 23, 1946 in Frisbee, Missouri. Veneta enjoyed reading the Bible and going to church and loved to sing. She was a member of the Grace Apostolic Church in South Haven.
She is preceded in death along with her parents by two brothers – Raymond and Martin Samples and one sister – Mamie Glenn.
She is survived by her husband – Charles Ethridge of South Haven, Michigan. One son – Rick (Loretta) Ethridge of Dowagiac, Michigan and one daughter – Karen (Pastor Michael) Holt of South Haven, Michigan. Three grandchildren- Paula, Randy and Marty. Four great grandchildren – Ashley, D.J., Lil Randy and Ethan. Three great great grandchildren – Ashton, Jayden and Aaron. One sister – Aline Anthony of Kennet, Missouri also survives.
Visitation will be from 12 –2 on Saturday, April 14 at Grace Apostolic Tabernacle Church. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 P.M. at the church with Pastor Michael Holt officiating. Burial will take place at Sumach Cemetery in Holcomb, Missouri. Memorial contributions can be made to the church.
