Frances E.'s Obituary
Frances E. Dykstra, 81,of South Haven died day, March 16, 2007 at her home.
She was born October 16, 1925 in South Haven, Michigan to Harold and Anna (Wilmot) French. Frances married John Dykstra on September 21, 1947 in South Haven at the First Baptist Church. Frances worked as a soda bar clerk at McDonalds Drug Store for several years. She enjoyed knitting, and working with young children. Frances was a member of Hope Reformed Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher and a member of the church choir.
She is preceded in death along with her parents by her husband – John Dykstra who died in 1993. Brothers - Herb French, Harold French, Fred French, Don French, and one sister – Dorris Baker.
She is survived by 4 sons – Greg (Bonnie) Dykstra of South Haven, Michigan, Michael (Connie) Dykstra of Buchanan, Michigan, Jeffrey Dykstra and Tim Dykstra both of South Haven, Michigan. One daughter – Susan (David) Snider of South Haven, Michigan. Eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. One brothers – Bill (Sandy) French of Hudsonville, Michigan. Two sisters – Shirley (Orville) Hunt of Augusta, Michigan and Patricia (Glen) Albrant of Meza, Arizona.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 18 from 4 - 7 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday at 11:00 A.M. at Hope Reformed Church with Rev. Curry Pikkart officiating. Burial will take place at Lakeview Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to South Haven Area Hospice.
