Helen Stella's Obituary
Helen Runowski, age 69, of South Haven, Michigan passed away on February 16, 2007 at her home.
She was born May 27, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois to Helen and Walter Wojciechowski. She was married to her loving and caring husband Sigmund Runowski on May 7, 1960.
She attended Our Lady of Grace School in Chicago. She also attended Wright Junior College and Chicago Teachers College. She was employed by Peoples Energy. She retired from work to raise her family and moved from Chicago to South Haven in 1969.
She is survived by her husband Sigmund, her children Alexander and Theresa Runowski of Lawton, Richard and Theresa Runowski of Saugatuck Township, David and Ann Runowski of Jension and her grandchildren Alexis, Andrew and Paul Runowski. Helen’s brothers Andrew Newport and Walter Wojciechowski live in Chicago.
Prior to passing, Helen expressed how grateful she was for the love and devotion of her husband Sigmund. She also expressed her love towards her family, especially her grandchildren. She was proud of the academic achievements of her children. Helen was grateful for her wonderful friends. She greatly appreciated the care given by her doctors, nurses and their staff.
