Ernest Burlin's Obituary
Ernest Burlin Ruble, beloved husband of Betty, died Saturday, December 16, 2006 at Countryside Nursing and Rehabilitation Community in South Haven. He was born July 1, 1921 to Clinton and Mary (Barton) Ruble. He graduated from Tri State College in Angola, IN with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Ernest married Betty McCrory on July 9, 1949 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. He worked at Grand Trunk Railroad for eleven years. In 1980, after 23 years, Ernest retired from Whirlpool.
He is preceded by his parents Clinton and Mary Ruble, and 3 brothers; Manley Ruble, Arnold Ruble and Maurice Ruble.
He is survived by his wife Betty Ruble of South Haven, MI., two daughters- Marian Amos of Erie, PA, Lorelei (Terry) Amos of Pullman, MI., one son-Charles (Diane) Ruble of Pullman, MI., nine grandchildren, one great grandson, four sisters-Eleanor Whitney of North Ft. Meyers, Fl., Mary Lois (Douglas) Williamson of North Ft. Meyers, FL., Ethel Emerson of North Ft. Meyers, FL., and Katherine (Glenn) Birkhofer of Lansing, MI.
Visitation will be Monday, December 18, 2006 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Services will be Tuesday, December 19, 2006 at 1:30 at the funeral home.
