Gennie Carol Jackson-Tomlin

Gennie Carol Jackson-Tomlin, age 47, of Covert, died Thursday, August 10, 2006 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo, MI. She was born September 27, 1958 to Robert and Ocie (Thompson) Jackson in Berrien Springs, MI. She worked as a Certified Nurses Aid for 12 years at Cambridge Court Nursing Home in Berrien Center until 1997 when she was disabled in a car accident. She married Isaac Tomlin October 28, 1998 in South Haven, MI. She enjoyed watching soap operas, talking on the telephone, and playing with her grandchildren.

She is preceded by her parents, one sister- Cassandra Jackson, one brother- Steven Jackson and a grandson-Jacoby Jackson.

She is survived by her husband Isaac Tomlin of Covert, MI., Two sons-Marcus (Deloris) Jackson of Muskegon, MI., Roosevelt (Heather) Jackson of Cal-na-vi, NV., Two daughters-Consuela Jackson of Covert, MI., Contessa (Christopher) Gaines of South Haven, MI., Ten grandchildren-Latoya, Qua’Shawn and Sha’Kelah Jackson, Demarcus Greer and Konika Hall of Covert, MI., Davontae and Tiara Hall of South Haven, MI., Titus Kimble of Benton Harbor, MI., Kailuna and Isaisah Jackson of Cal-na-vi, NV. Four brothers-Robert Jackson of Benton Harbor, MI., Ray Jackson of Kalamazoo, MI., Roosevelt Jackson of Benton Harbor, Ocie (Annette) Jackson of Kalamazoo, MI., Three sisters-Marlene West of Benton Harbor, MI., Sonya Jackson of Covert, MI., Annette Jackson of Columbus, OH, a loving niece Jasmine Jackson along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends and in-laws.

Funeral services will be Friday, August 18, 2006 at 12:00 P.M. at the Grace Temple, 660 Nickerson Rd. A wake will be from 11:00 to 12:00 until the service begins at the church. Burial will take place at Covert Cemetery, Covert Township.
