Laura Lee's Obituary
Laura Lee Schurr, 49, of South Haven died Tuesday, August 1 at South Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Community.
She was born June 21, 1957 in South Haven to Walter and Beatrice (Thompson) Radny. Laura attended Bloomingdale public schools. She served her country in the U.S. Army. She married Bobby Schurr. Laura worked construction for the Michigan Laborers Union, Local #355 for the past 11 years. She was a member of the American Legion Post #49. Laura loved shopping, going to garage sales, camping and fishing.
She is preceded in death by her husband – Bobby Schurr who died in 1998 and her brother Dwaine Radny.
She is survived by her children – James (Stacy) Rowland, Jeremy (Jennifer) Rowland and Sierra Rowland all of South Haven. Two grandchildren – Jeremy Rowland and Alexis Allen. Her father – Walter Radny of Grand Junction, Michigan and her mother – Beatrice Smith of Smithville, Tennessee. Two brothers – Walt Radny of Smithville, Tennessee and Clint (Sharon) Radny of Kettering, Ohio. One sister – Kathy Radny of Bloomingdale, Michigan.
Memorial services will be Friday, August 4 at 7:00 P.M. at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Linstrom officiating. Family will receive friends from 6 – 7 at the funeral home. Burial will take place at McDowell Cemetery, Casco Township.
