Rosie's Obituary
Rosie Lee Peterson, 80, of Covert died Tuesday, July 18 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo.
She was born April 4, 1926 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to Albert and Frances (Lauderdale) Hooks.
She is preceded along with her parents by her husband – Willie E. Lee Moses Malachi Peterson. Two sons – Benjamin and Timothy. Daughter in law –Rosella and granddaughter Tanisha. Her sister – Alice Faye also precedes her.
She is survived by her children – Willie (Rashmer) Peterson Jr. of Qatar, Oscer Lee (Rosella) Peterson of Chicago, Illinois, Clarence (Rosa) Peterson of Covert, Michigan, Charles Edward (Joyce) Peterson Sr. of Bangor, Michigan, Ulysses Ray (Linda) Peterson of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and May Frances (Dwane) Herring of Covert, Michigan. A host of grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive.
Wake will be Saturday, July 22 from 11 – 12 at the Gospel Tabernacle Baptist Church. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 P.M. at the church with Rev. Henry Allen officiating.
