Robert Bolden

Robert James Bolden, 35, of South Haven died on Tuesday, July 18 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo.

He was born July 28, 1970 in Gary, Indiana to Robert Sr. and Phyllis Bolden Sr. Robert graduated from Covert High School in 1989. He loved to play basketball and was an All State Basketball player for Covert High School. Robert married Dorthie Greer on August 19, 2000 in Covert, Michigan. Robert worked for Pullman Industries as a molder shortly after he became ill. He was a member of the Bobby Walker Ministries. Robert had many friends.

He is preceded in death by his father – Robert Bolden Sr. who died in 2001.

He is survived by his wife – Dorthie Bolden of South Haven. Three sons – Jerrid, Jalen, and Houston Bolden all at home. His mother – Phyllis (Glenn) Tyler of Covert, Grandmother – Dorothy McKeever of Merrilleville, Indiana and mother – in – law – Alice Greer of Covert. Three brothers – Raymond Moore Bolden of Costa Rica, South America, Markel Bolden of Gary, Indiana and Stanley Bolden of Gary, Indiada. Three sisters – Cynthia Bolden of Gary, Indiana, Angela Draper of Merrilleville, Indiana and Sherry Bolden of Gary, Indiana. Brother & Sister-in-laws – Erick Highley, Jerome, Anthony, James, Kelvin Greer, Wanda Lewis, Javetta Richardson, Dana Greer and Carmen Simpson. Three best friends – Allen Doubley, Aaron Barlow and Steve Blair. A host of aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be Saturday, July 22 at 2:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church in Covert with Rev. Bobby Walker officiating. Family will receive friends from 1 – 2 before the service at the church. Burial will take place at Covert Cemetery.
