Donna's Obituary
Donna Kay Alfieri, 56, of South Haven, died Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. She was born January 2, 1957 to Wayne and Novella (Ferguson) Saffell in Hart, Michigan, and raised by Rose Saffell and Wayne Huberty. She was a 1975 graduate of South Haven High School. Donna worked for South Haven Public Schools as a teacher’s aide for seven years at Baseline Middle School. Donna loved talking to family, going to social gatherings and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death along with her parents by her sister – Belinda Saffell.
Donna is survived by three sons – Jeremy (Jennifer) Alfieri of Portage, Rodney (Ashley Novitsky) Alfieri of Paw Paw, and Chad (Christie) Saffell of Lima, OH; daughter – Jessica Saffell of Grand Rapids; siblings – Jimmy Saffell, Jackie Saffell, Elvis Saffell, Roxanne Saffell, Jodie Haberland, Wanda Cobe, Jamie Saffell, Steve Sanders, Shonda Sanders, and Bobbie Jo Slater. Five grandchildren also survive – Keira Alfieri, Jada Buyce, Amari Neal, Joshua Saffell, and Neriah Saffell.
Visitation will be Friday, March 8, 2013 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home of South Haven. Funeral service will be Saturday, March 9 at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
