Rienold's Obituary
Rienold “Ron” Filbrandt, 87, died on March 12, at Bronson Methodist Hospital. He was born on October 16, 1925 to Albert and Leah (Abbott) Filbrandt in South Haven, MI. Ron served his country in the US Army during World War II. Ron married Betty Couturier on June 14, 1947. Ron worked for Bohn Aluminum for 39 years retiring in 1988. Ron was a member of St. Basil Catholic Church and the Loyal Order of the Moose #697. Ron enjoyed fishing and golfing at Cheshire Hills Golf Club.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother – William Filbrandt and one sister –Ann Burrows.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Filbrandt of South Haven, MI and one son – Robert (Judy) Filbrandt of South Haven, MI. Two grandsons – Scott (Courtney) Filbrandt and Brad (Amanda) Filbrandt. Three great-grandchildren - Lisa, Lydia and Chase. His brothers – Albert Filbrandt of Jones, MI and Harold (Marian) Filbrandt of South Haven, MI.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 14, from 6 to 8 PM at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. The Loyal Order of the Moose will have a service beginning at 7:00 PM. A memorial service will take place Friday, March 15, at 11:00 AM with Rev. Harold Filbrandt officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Moose Scholarship Fund.
