Mary Carmella Wiatrowski

Mary Carmella Wiatrowski, 91, of South Haven, died Monday, August 26, 2013 at the Countryside Nursing and Rehabilitation Community. She was born November 22, 1921 to Ignatius and Ida (Pistorio) Polverento in Chicago, IL. Mary owned and operated the Henry Wiatrowski Construction along with her husband for over thirty years. Mary was a member at St. Basil Catholic Church and served on the Women’s Service Guild and Christian Services. Mary was also a member of the Scott Club.

She is preceded in death along with her parents by her husband – Henry M. Wiatrowski; son – Arnie Wiatrowski; three brothers – Al, Tony, and Samuel Polverento.

Mary is survived by her son – Dave (Sheri) Wiatrowski of South Haven; daughter-in-law – Marge Wiatrowski of St. Joseph; six grandchildren – Nicholas (Tiffinie) Wiatrowski, Tony, and Bradley Wiatrowski, Lori (Dan) McCrery Jr., Victoria Ann (Dustin) Wilson, Amy (Jim) Paulin. Six great grand children also survive.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 29,  from 10:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at the St. Basil Catholic Church in South Haven. Mass of Christian burial will follow visitation at 11:00 A.M. at church with Rev. Father Robert Flickinger officiating. Mary will be laid to rest at Lakeview Cemetery in South Haven. Contributions can be made in Mary’s memory to the St. Basil Catholic Church Building Fund.
