Claudia Francis Ostrowski

Claudia Francis Ostrowski, 73, of Casco Township, died Sunday, January 5, 2014 at her home. She was born March 9, 1940 to William and Vivian (Brown) Cereske in Lakeside, Michigan. She was raised by her grandparents, Bella and Ralph Brown. Claudia was a waitress for many restaurants and a secretary for many businesses in the area. She was a Christian and was a previous member at St. Basils Catholic Church in South Haven. Claudia was active in her children and grandchildren lives, and her home was always filled with her “kids”. Claudia enjoyed Bingo, crocheting and reading. She was a fan of NASCAR and had fun taking care of her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Eugene Ostrowski who passed in 1994; her grandparents,  siblings Viola, Vera, Victor, Verilla, Vincent, Victoria, Vernon, Virgil, Verniece, VaLaura, Velma and Van, Uncles - Gene Gridley and Al Cereske, brother-in-laws William Bolles, and Florian Ostrowski, and two great grandchildren.

Claudia is survived by her children - Mark (Shelley) Lewis of South Haven, John (Stefanie) Lewis of Carson City, Maribeth Jordan of Casco Township,  Dawn Lewis of Kalamazoo, and Christina Weniger of Houston, TX; Sister Verneita Kurina of Lakeside MI, and brother-in-law Miles Becvar of New Buffalo, MI. brother and sister in laws, Allen and Adrianna Lebbin, Lucille Ostrowski, and Bernice Bolles, Aunts, Agnes Cereske, Gert Gridley, and Fran Cereske, nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren also survive.
