Marianne Field

Marianne Field, 52, of Hamilton, formerly of South Haven, died Friday, February 21, 2014 at her home. She was born October 10, 1961 to George and Royce Ann (Goheen) Besemer in South Haven. A 1979 South Haven High School graduate, Marianne earned an Associate’s Degree from Lake Michigan College. Marianne loved to garden and to rock hunt on Lake Michigan beaches. She also enjoyed photography and scrapbooking. Marianne worked with the Boy Scouts for many years. Marianne married her husband of 29 years, Mark Field, on May 4, 1985 at the St. Basil Catholic Church.

Marianne is preceded in death by her mother, Royce Ann Besemer who died in 2009.

 She is survived by her husband – Mark Field; children - Christian Field of Meridian, Mississippi, Andrew (Jessi) Field of Ft. Riley, Kansas and Steven (Amanda) Field of Hamilton; grandchildren - Jasmine, Johnathan, Makayla and Linzey Field; Father - George Besemer of South Haven; Siblings - Katherine Besemer of Grand Rapids and Dave (Sandy) Besemer of South Haven; lifelong friend – Cheryl Isom of South Haven.

Visitation will be from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Monday, February 24, 2014 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home of South Haven. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at the St. Basil Catholic Church with Rev. Father Robert Flickinger and Deacon Tony Nethercot officiating. Marianne will be laid to rest at Stephenson Cemetery in Casco Township. Contributions may be made in Marianne’s memory to the Van Buren Youth Camp and American Cancer Society.
