Chuck's Obituary
Chuck "Sonny" Martin, 77, of Grand Junction, MI died on Sunday, February 23, at St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI. He was born on July 11, 1936 to Charles and Ruby (Hunt) Martin in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Chuck served his country in the Korean War in the Army and Navy as a medic. Chuck worked at the Allegan County Courthouse as a janitor. He was a carpenter and cabinet builder.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister - Betty Rios and one grandchild - Shonda Joy Martin.
Chuck is survived by his wife Joy Martin, his children; Charles Martin of Grand Junction, MI, Todd (Jeannie) Martin of Pullman, MI, Robin (Michael) Fisher, Fennville, MI, Gayle Kuiper of Newaygo, MI, Karen Higley of Hartford, MI, Becky Martin of Grand Junction, MI, and 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Friday, February 28 from 4-6 pm at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home with funeral service to begin at 6:00 pm.
