Michael's Obituary
Michael A. Jones, 54, of Covert, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 21, 2014 at his home. He was born January 3, 1960 to Willie and Juanita (Langston) Jones in Chicago, Illinois. Michael was a 1978 graduate of Covert High School. Michael previously worked as a chef at Big Boy before becoming a home health care aid. Michael attended the Trinity Missionary Baptist Church in South Haven. He loved to cook and especially barbecue. Michael was the family jokester and is remembered as happy and always helpful to others.
He is preceded in death by his father – Pastor Willie Jones and brother – Pastor Maurice Jones.
Michael is survived by his mother – Juanita Jones; step-son – Dexter Maybry; brother – Corneilious Langston of Kalamazoo; sister-in-law – Gwendolyn Jones; a host of nieces and nephews including – Corneilious Langston, Jr., Latonia Langston, Kevin Jones, and Bethany (Shawn) Reed also survive. Michael is also survived by his special friend – Gloria.
Wake will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at the Trinity Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow the wake at 11:00 AM at the church with Pastor Charles Daniel officiating.
