Linda's Obituary
Linda Diane Williams was born May 30, 1966 to the late Harvey and Mary Williams. She attended Bangor and South Haven Public Schools and was fortunate to be a student of modeling. She had various occupations at several local area businesses.
Linda loved to be the center of attention. She had many of the loving qualities and attributes as exhibited by her mother, the late Mother Mary Williams. She never met a stranger and embraced life to the fullest. She endeared herself to all those she came in contact with.
Because family was very important to her, Linda took it upon herself to keep the Williams family intact by hosting “Family Saturday Dinner” gatherings and was especially known for her famous tacos. Her value of family was also evidenced in the very close relationship that she had with her sister, Rose Marie and her daughters.
Her grandfather, the late Harrison Brigham Sr., would lovingly refer to her as “Linda Bird.” And, while Linda was given several other nicknames that symbolized the fun personality that she had, she possessed very strong fundamental values. She was generous, forgiving and never envious or jealous of anyone. With all of her experiences, she took every opportunity to share her testimony of her life’s struggles and victories.
She experienced the anointing power of Christ at Pentecostal Temple Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Bishop F.L. Cunningham and participated in the choir. Even though life took her through various paths, she always had a reverent fear of God and never believed in “playing church.” She was currently a member of Lily of the Valley Church under the leadership of her youngest brother, Elder Darryl Williams.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Mary Williams and leaves to cherish her memory: One daughter – Latoia Denise Williams; her siblings – Harvey Lee Williams, Jr. (Lenor) of Kalamazoo MI; Rose Marie Williams (James) of Watervliet MI; Alan Williams of Chicago IL; Neal Scott (Nanette) Williams of Kalamazoo MI; and Darryl Keith (Michelle) Williams of South Haven MI; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; a special friend, Rodney Jackson and her dog, Honey.
