Jimmy Lee Jackson, 60, of Covert, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Tender Care Nursing Home in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Jimmy was born September 25, 1954 to Roy and Minnie Lee (Cole) Jackson.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents Roy and Minnie Lee (Cole) Jackson; brothers—Raymond
Jackson, Tommy Jackson, and Hubert Jackson; sister—Rosie Hayes; Niece—Linda Hayes; two nephews—Macker Jackson and Issac Broady, Jr.
He is survived by his sons—Jimmy (Honitta) Jackson of Muskegon, MI, Antonio (Tina) Jackson and Deontae (Tera) Jackson of Holland, MI; siblings—Glenda (Allen) Hawkins of Kalamazoo, MI, Elder James
Jackson of Kalmazoo, MI, Shirline (Richard) Turman of Kalamazoo, MI, Gladys (Perry) Broady of Covert, MI, Eddie Earl Jackson of Covert, Terry (Nadine) Jackson of Covert, MI, Roy (Pam) Jackson Jr. of South Haven, MI, Michael Jackson of South Haven, MI, Willie (Ernestine) Hayes of Covert, MI; Grandchildren—Malik, Deontae Jr., Jimmy Jr., Julius, Jayllum, Ahlivia, Lilliana, Alexea, Alaina, and Keiana Jackson. A host of nieces, nephews and cousins also surivive.
Wake will be held from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven. Funeral services will follow the wake at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with Minister Allen Hawkins officiating. Jimmy will be laid to rest at Covert Cemetery.
