Cindy Ann Gallas

Cindy Ann Gallas, 58, of South Haven, MI, passed away Monday, November 17, 2014 at her home. She was born April 19, 1956 to Robert Lee and Carrie Margie (Johnson) Gilliland Sr. in Orlando, FL. Cindy was a very hard worker. She was a member of the South Haven Assembly of God Church where she taught Sunday school. She also worked at Sunshine Day Care Center as a preschool teacher for over 15 years. She  also delivered papers for the South Haven Tribune for several years and was a home health care provider for child and family services.. Cindy loved arts and crafts as well as sewing. She also made several wedding cakes.

Cindy is preceded in death by her father, her husband, John Gallas, her step father, Marvin Covey, and one son, Kevin Roberts.

She is survived by her children - Kristopher Gallas of Kalamazoo, MI, Aris Gallas of South Haven, MI. Grandchildren - Navaya, Amanda, LeAnn, Rebecca, and Kyle. Mother - Carrie Covey. Siblings - Clifford (Linda) Gilliland of Allegan, MI. Shirley Gilliland of White Sulfer Springs, WV, Frankey (Kathy) Gilliland of Grand Junction, MI, Ronald (Gina) Gilliland of Hartford, MI, Margie Lynn (Andre) Taylor of Bangor, MI, and Robert Lee (Zoey) Gilliland Jr. of South Haven, MI. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Friday, November 21, 2014 from 1:30 P.M. - 2:00 P.M. at the First Assembly of God. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 P.M. at the church with pastor Eric Jarvis officiating. Cindy will be laid to rest at McDowell Cemetery in Casco Township.
