Attai's Obituary
Attai Lee "Rick" Carpenter, 60, of South Haven, Michigan, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at his home. He was born August 25, 1954 to Floyd and Margaret (Barnes) Carpenter in Sidney, New York. During his life, Rick worked for the City and County Road Commission for the village of Bainbridge, NY, and also drove truck for the lumber company. Rick was the former commander of Sons of the American Legion Post #49 in South Haven. He was also an avid deer hunter and enjoyed working in dairy.
Rick is preceded in death by his parents, one son, Jay Carpenter, and one sister, Linda Freelove.
He is survived by his children - Richard (Cindy) Carpenter of Harpurseville, NY, Warren Carpenter of Owego, NY, Chad Carpenter-Bushaw of Harpurseville, NY, and Glen Carpenter of FL. Five Grandchildren. Siblings - Floyd Carpenter of South Haven, MI, and Barbara Carpenter of Wyoming, MI.
Private family services were held. Rick will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery in South Cambridge, New York.
