Jamie's Obituary
Jamie Nicole Carr, 19, left this world peacefully at our home in South Haven, Thursday, September 3, 2015 after a brave battle with stage 4 colon cancer.
Jamie was born March 21, 1996 in Holland, Michigan to her very proud parents Norma and Stanley Carr. Jamie graduated from LC Mohr High School in 2014. She loved drawing and painting and had received various awards for her beautiful creations. She also appeared in her high schools production of “Grease”. She liked to sing and listen to music, attending several concerts with her best friend Kayla Spratt. Her real passion was cooking. She really enjoyed watching The Food Network, especially Guy Fieri, even when she couldn’t eat. Jamie also participated in a hospitality program. Her favorite internship was with the “Lunch Ladies” at the high school. She was pursuing a culinary arts degree at LMC. She loved her boyfriend Damon Street and hanging out with her “other family”. And also collecting – this girl loved her fairies!
Jamie leaves behind her parents Norma and Stanley Carr, her “little” brother Garrett all of South Haven, Michigan. Her older brother Alex (Emily)Thayer, niece and nephew Brooklyn and Brenden all of Poplar Bluff, Missouri . Her two grandmothers Donna Carr of South Haven and Sandra (Ronnie) Burke of Kennett, Missouri, special aunts and uncles Barbara and Ricardo Garfias of Kennett, Missouri, Susan and David Snider of South haven, Linda Beckwith of Bangor, and Virginia Nagy of Fennville. Honorary Aunts and Uncle Stacy and Steven Hooper and Brenda Aleman. Honorary sisters Kaitlynn and Jesusa. And let’s not forget her puppy dog Dobbs!
And so many more aunts, uncles and cousins. And last but not least, her friends. You all know how much she loved and cared for each and every one of you. More importantly, she knew she was loved!!
Rest in everlasting peace Tootsie Lou!
