Elizabeth's Obituary
Elizabeth Sharpe, 77, of South Haven, passed away Sunday, November 22, 2015 at her home under Hospice care. She was born June 22, 1938 to Ed and Matilda (McKeel) Gaines in Alto, Louisiana. Elizabeth married Eugene Sharpe on April 30, 1990 in Pullman, Michigan. She worked at the Mel-Rain Factory in Bangor for over twenty years before retiring in 1989.
Elizabeth is preceded in death along with her parents by her husband of ten years – Eugene Sharpe, children – Matilda Hereford, Robert, Mark, and Roosevelt Curry.
Elizabeth is survived by her children – Edward, Jimmy, and Rosemary Curry all of Grand Rapids, John Curry of Allegan, Debra Lemus of South Haven; 55 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
Wake will be held from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Friday, November 27, 2015 at the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Pullman. Funeral services will follow wake at 12:00 PM at the church with Pastor Steppney Black officiating. Elizabeth will be laid to rest at the Lee Township Cemetery.
