Adelaida's Obituary
Covert, MI — Adelaida Saucedo de Barajas, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother died Thursday the third of December in her home residence in Covert, MI. Her parents were Fernando Saucedo Ibarra and Jesusita Cortez Yanez. Her siblings were Juan, Eloisa, Trino, and Abigail all who have passed away.
Born in 1925 in San Diego Curucupatzeo, Michoacan Mexico., Adelaida married at 22 years of age to Elidio Barajas. She immigrated to Chicago, IL from Morelia, Michoacan in 1982 alongside her family. She made Chicago her second home though she traveled back and forth with her sons throughout the decades. Later, she moved to Michigan with her family in search of better work opportunities.
Her sense of humor made everyone around her smile. She loved traditional Mexican food, traveling to Mexico, going to church, and singing. She was admired for her mental strength through physical hardships and her love for life. She was the bond that united the family.
She dedicated her life to her family and loved ones. Her biggest joy was to be surrounded by her children and family members. She is survived by her 9 children: Alfredo, Manuel, Isaul, Arturo, Juan, Filiberto, Miguel, Jose Luis, and Consuelo Barajas (Ramirez). In addition, she has 37 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren all whom brought great joy to her later years.
Memorial gifts and donations may be made during visitation hours.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sunday, December 6, 2015
at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 5:00 PM on Monday, December 7, 2015
at the funeral home with Father German Perez-Diaz officiating.
