Sharon Ann Foley

Sharon Ann Foley, 73, of Bangor, Michigan went to be with her Lord and her husband on Friday, December 18, 2015.  She was born on September 12, 1942 to William and Emma (Cobianco) Weber.  Sharon was a 1960 graduate of Central High School.  Sharon married the love of her life, James Patrick Foley, on May 6, 1961.  Sharon worked in the fabric department at Fisher Big Wheel and then at Wal Mart.  She had worked the past 24 years at Walmart retiring in 2014.  She was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bangor.  Sharon loved her flower garden, sewing, reading, and her schnauzers, the last being Pepper.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her spouse, James Patrick Foley, who died April 3, 2015.

Sharon is survived by her children, Connie (Joe) DeYonker of Elkhart, Indiana; Kathleen (Ed) VandenTak of Holland, Michigan; and Christina (Brett) Lyzenga of Bangor, Michigan. She is also survived by six grandchildren - Kelly, Paul, James, Jessica, Brittny and Kaitlynn.  Along with five great-grandchildren - Chase, Cameron, Hailee, Zackery, and Cohen. 

Sharon will be remembered as a loving and giving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She made many friends throughout her life, sharing a little piece of herself with every acquaintance she made.  She always said that the best part of working at Walmart was meeting and helping different people, who she considered her friends.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday, December 23rd, at 10:00 AM at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bangor  with Pastor Matthew Reis officiating.  Brunch will be served at the church following the service in the fellowship hall.  She will be laid to rest at Monks Cemetery in Geneva Township.  Memorial contributions may be made in Sharon’s memory to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church and School.
