William's Obituary
William Allen Fouts 82 of South Haven, Michigan, formerly of Westlake, Ohio passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Friday January 1, 2016. Bill was born February 23, 1933 to Paul and Helen Fouts in Chicago, Illinois. In his leisure, Bill enjoyed golfing, fishing and traveling. Bill was employed as the Regional Sales Director for Gulf and Western Manufacturing, Metals Division, covering the Central and Eastern United States. After retirement Bill became a Manufacturer’s representative, selling aluminum extrusions and plastic injected moldings to major retailers throughout the U.S.,continuing to do so up until a couple months ago.
Bill was a member of The Ohio Society of the Son's of the American Revolution. Life member of the Free and Accepted Masons of Michigan, Life member of the Elks and was a Tennessee Squire.
Even though Bill lived in Ohio State Territory for over forty years, he remained a loyal fan to his Alma Mater, the University of Michigan. This of course caused him much ribbing from his many Cleveland area friends when he wore his maize and blue colors.
Bill was preceded in death along with his parents by a Sister Shirley Spencer and Brother In Law Fred Spencer and Brother In Law Robert Leist . William is survived by his Brother Norm Fouts/Ann Hartmann and Sister Carol Leist, all of South Haven.
Bill will be greatly missed by his family, especially his nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. When he visited his family in South Haven, Bill always arrived with fresh sausages, pastries and other surprises. There was always a big party when "Uncle Bill" came to visit.
Memorial services will be scheduled for the summer of 2016.
