Terry Jeffries

Terry Jeffries, 64, of Benton Harbor, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2016 at the Kindred Hospital in Mishawaka, Indiana. He was born April 25, 1951 to Melvin and Cora Lee (Wilson) Jeffries in South Haven. Terry graduated from Covert High School in 1970. He married Brenda Perry on October 13, 1979 in Benton Harbor. He worked for Auto Specialties before 17 years of service at Bohn Aluminum in South Haven. He later went on to work at Amtrak, Rover Security, and Bosch Braking in St. Joseph. Terry retired from Bosch Braking in 2008. He enjoyed being outdoors fishing, hunting, and gardening. He also enjoyed raising pigeons and rabbits. Terry enjoyed sports, especially basketball.

Terry is survived by his wife of 36 years – Brenda Jeffries; children – Caprica of Covert, Antonia of Leesburg, Virginia, Adrian of Kentwood, Michigan, and Terri Jeffries of Benton Harbor; mother – Cora Lee Jeffries of Covert; brothers – James (Maxine) Jeffries of Covert and Verne (Elaine) Jeffries of St. Joseph. Seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive.

Wake will be held from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven. Funeral services will follow wake at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Minus Thompson officiating. Terry will be laid to rest in Covert Cemetery.
