Zachary Guy Lepley

Zachary Guy Lepley, 31, of South Haven, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2016 at the Holland Hospital after a long struggle with Type I Diabetes and Mental Illness. He was born December 2, 1984 to Thomas and Juleene (Tietz) Lepley in St. Joseph, Michigan. Zachary graduated from South Haven High School in 2003. Zachary worked for Clementine’s Restaurant, OK Distributors, and most recently at Hawkshead Links.  As a youth he loved playing soccer, baseball and enjoyed snowboarding.  He loved music and played the guitar, drums and piano. Also a sports fan, Zachary followed the Detroit Tigers and Green Bay Packers.  Most of all he loved his family and friends.

Zachary made the decision to donate his body to Gift of Life so that others may benefit from his selflessness.

He is preceded in death by his father – Thomas Lepley who died in 1994.

Zachary is survived by his mother – Juli Lepley of South Haven, sister – Amanda Lepley of South Haven, grandmother – Mary Tietz of Lake Placid, Florida, uncle – Mark Lepley of Ashley, Indiana, aunts - Peg Stamper of Hamilton, Indiana, Kathy Mapes of Denver, Colorado, Doreen Johnson and Eileen Tietz both of Lake Placid, Florida, niece – Grace Anne Lundy and nephew – Mason Bennett Lundy. Many cousins and friends also survive.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Allegan Community Mental Health for their support and services.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, June 3, 2016 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at the funeral home with Pastor Steve Smallegan officiating. Zachary will be laid to rest at McDowell Cemetery in Casco Township. Contributions may be made to NAMI Southwestern Michigan or the American Diabetes Association.
