Bernard's Obituary
Bernard Rogers, 75, of South Haven, passed away, Thursday, August 25, 2016 in South Haven, Michigan. He was born November 19, 1940 to Bernard L. and Margaret (Rodgers) Rogers in Chicago, Illinois. Bernard served his country in the United States Army. Bernard worked as a restaurant supply salesman until his retirement, then come out of retirement to drive a school bus for St. Basil Catholic School and South Haven Public Schools. He married Sandra Cresto on February 5, 1966 at St. Anthony Padua Catholic Church in Roseland in Chicago, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Bernard is survived by his wife of fifty years, Sandra, daughter Roxanne Rogers, and grandson Gregory and Zachary. Also, surviving are his sisters Barbara Rogers and Corrine Schultz.
A Catholic Mass will be held at 11:00 EST on Friday, September 9, 2016 at the St. Basil Catholic Church, 513 Monroe Boulevard, South Haven, Michigan 49090 with Rev. Father Robert Flickinger officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bernard’s memory to the St. Basil Catholic Church’s Restore the Glory Fund, 513 Monroe Boulevard, South Haven, Michigan 49090 or Hospice at Home of South Haven, 05055 Blue Star Highway, South Haven, Michigan 49090.
