Gary Philip Moore

Gary Philip Moore, 64, of Hartford, passed away Monday, August 29, 2016 at his home under hospice care. He was born September 23, 1951 to Vern Dave and Roena (Shafer) Moore in Coloma. Gary graduated from Hartford High School in 1970. He married Cathleen Daisy on July 26, 1975 at the Bangor Congregational Church and shared 41 years of marriage. Gary worked hard and spent his working life at Van-O-Farms, Eliason Refrigeration, the Watervliet Paper Mill, ICG, and Whirlpool. Gary enjoyed the outdoors and enjoyed hunting deer, rabbit, and woodchuck. He would regularly coach summer baseball and loved watching his grandchildren play soccer. He was very proud of his family and proud of being present for all of his grandchildren’s births.

He is preceded in death along with his parents by three brothers – Van, Mike, and Ross Moore.

Gary is survived by his wife of 41 years – Cathy Moore, two sons – Jason (Dana) Moore of Hartford and Chad (Jessica) Moore of Frankenmuth, three grandchildren – Joshua, Tyler, and Everly Moore.
