Constance's Obituary
Constance Simmons, 58, of Kalamazoo, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, November 14, 2016 from the Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. She was born September 23, 1958 to Leroy and Dorothy (McClendon) Simmons in Chicago, Illinois. Constance graduated from Crane High School and went on to study cosmetology. She was a lover of animals and was strong in her religious beliefs She enjoyed arts and crafts, entrepreneurialism, and served on many boards and organizations.
Constance will be remembered for her giving nature and would dedicate most of her time to benefit others, often volunteering for community service within her community. She will be dearly missed by all who were touched by her generous spirit.
She is preceded in death along with her parents by two brothers and a sister.
Constance leaves to cherish her memory her son – Deon Simmons of Pontiac, Michigan, siblings –Karen, Joanne, Diane, Geneine , Michelle and Derrick Simmons. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive.
