Fannie's Obituary

Fannie Mae Crenshaw, 73, of South Haven, went home to be with her Lord February 3, 2017. She was born on December 26, 1943 to Graham Cook and Lettie Fisher in Wetumpka, Alabama. Fannie graduated from L.C. Mohr High School with the Class of 1977. She managed at Burger Chef for eight years and worked at McKenzie’s Bakery for two years and the South Haven Hospital for twenty years. She loved listening to Gospel Music, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

Fannie gave her life to Christ at an early age and was a dedicated member of the Second Baptist Church in South Haven for 46 years. She will be remembered for her giving nature; there wasn’t anything that she wouldn’t do for those who asked.


She is preceded in death by her parents and three siblings – Dan Crenshaw, Willie Cook, and Annie Warren.


She leaves to cherish her memory, her children -Cynthia Starks of Dallas, Texas, Chris Crenshaw of Kalamazoo, and Sandra Renee Crenshaw of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, siblings – George Gray of Hobart, Indiana, Graham, Joel, and Johnny Cook all of Alabama, Lula May Hunter of Alabama, Sarah Allen of Long Island, New York, and Emma Jean Cook of Detroit, grandchildren—Cierra, Ashley, Chisten, Mariah, TJ and Jay Ulysis, and great grandchildren—Tony, Ta’miyah, and Kavayla.
