Mark Hill

Robert “Mark” Hill, 58, of Glenn, passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at his home.  He was born on March 12, 1959 to Robert and JoAnn Hill in South Haven, Michigan.  He grew up in Grand Junction and attended Bloomingdale Public Schools.   On November 21, 1998, Mark married Chris (Rayburn) at St. Paul Lutheran Church in South Haven.  Mark worked as a shipping clerk for Dr. Pepper/7 Up/Snapple in Holland for the past 20 years.  He , and his wife, were owners of Farm House Glenn Antiques where he used his creative abilities and workmanship,  which he enjoyed exhibiting at antique shows.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and traveling.   Mark also enjoyed working in stained glass,  loved music especially Beatles music, playing the acoustical guitar and the bass guitar, and attending music concerts.  Mark also enjoyed nature and being in the  out of doors.   Mark loved animals and spoiled his pet cats and cherished the time he had with his dog, Missy.    

He is preceded in death by his mother and step father, JoAnn and Carl Bumpus. His grand parents – Vernon and Althea Hill and his beloved Aunt Bet.

Mark is survived by his wife of 18 years, Chris, his daughters - Jamie (William) Vieau of Hudsonville and Lyndsey (Cal) Bennett of South Haven,  son, Tyler Smith of St. Joseph, Michigan, two grandchildren – Kylee and Makenna, father – Robert (Audra) Hill of Grand Junction and sister - Rhonda (Vic Ide) Fiorillo of Gobles.  His aunt – Dorothy Cutshaw of Constanine, Michigan.  In laws – R.T. and Audrey Rayburn of Lacota. 

Funeral Services will be held at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Jerry Koller officiating.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.  Kindly share your thoughts and memories on the family’s online guestbook at www.FilbrandtFFH.com.
