Brenda's Obituary
Brenda Vassar, age 57, of South Haven, MI, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2017 at the Laurels of Sandy Creek in Wayland, Mich. She was born August 30, 1959 in South Haven, MI the daughter of Fred & Ida Vassar. Brenda graduated from Covert High School June 1977 and was co-valedictorian of her class. She attended Lake Michigan College. Brenda was very active in her faith at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, South Haven. Brenda was a creative, caring and considerate person. She was a loving sister and aunt. She will be missed and remembered.
Brenda is survived by her sisters, Linda (William) Briggs, Freda Johnson; nephews, Preston Boggs and Frederick Johnson; aunt, Bernice Martin; cousins and friends.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Fred & Ida Vassar; and brother-in-laws, Alloway Johnson & Preston Boggs, Sr.
Memorial services for Brenda will be held Saturday, July 8, 2017, 1:30pm at Filbrandt Family Funeral Home, 1076 Bailey Ave., South Haven, MI 49090. Wayne Balser will officiate.
Brenda will be laid to rest at Lakeview Cemetery in South Haven. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Brenda’s memory to the family at 1076 S. Bailey Avenue, South Haven, Michigan 49090. All contributions will be used to purchase a headstone for Brenda.
