Timothy Glenn Walbridge

Timothy Glenn Walbridge, 68, of South Haven, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2018 at his home under Hospice care. He was born December 30, 1949 to Timothy and Marietherese (Huffmaster) Walbridge in Detroit. Timothy married Cecelia Sheridan on December 20, 1969 at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Ann Arbor. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Aquinas College before continuing on to Michigan State University and later earning his DDS from the University of Michigan Dental School. Timothy worked as a dentist in Portage for 37 years. An avid sportsman, Timothy loved all Detroit sports. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, and sailing. He played hockey in Kalamazoo and Holland until the age of 65.  He was a member of the St. Basil Catholic Church in South Haven, the Knights of Columbus in Kalamazoo for 30 years, a lifetime member of the American Dental Association, the Kalamazoo Valley Dental Society, the Sons of the American Legion Post #49, and the Mid-Forest Lodge since 1983.

He is preceded in death by his father and a son – Joseph Anthony Walbridge.

Timothy is survived by his wife of 48 years – Cecelia Walbridge of South Haven, children – Jennifer (Jim) Pfeiffelmann of Grandville, Tim (Jennifer) Walbridge of Carmel, Indiana, Dominic (Morgan) Walbridge of Chicago, Andy (Alicia) Walbridge of Kalamazoo, and Julia (Tim) Kelly of Grand Rapids, mother – Marietherese Walbridge of Royal Oak, siblings – Tony (Natasha) Walbridge of Ann Arbor, James (Jane) Walbridge of Royal Oak, and Christine Walbridge of Ferndale, Michigan, and eleven grandchildren – José, Rowen, Ruari, Vincent, Jack, Xavier, Siena, Liliana, Zoe, Thomas, and Desmond.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 with a Scripture Service at 7:30 PM at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at the St. Basil Catholic Church in South Haven with Father Jim Morris officiating. Timothy will be laid to rest at Lakeview Cemetery in South Haven. Contributions may be made in Timothy’s memory to the St. Basil Catholic School, 94 Superior Street, South Haven, Michigan 49090.
