Willis Edward Conner

Willis “Willy” Conner, 85, of Bangor, died Saturday, November 17, 2018 at the Meadow Woods Nursing Home in Bloomingdale. He was born September 21, 1933 to Monty and Mina Conner. Brothers Don and Frank, sister Sadie. He married Mary Jean Maynard on November 12, 1955. They had two daughters – Linda (Pat) McKinney and Sheri Conner. He has four grandchildren – Angela (Mark) Hildebrand, Nicole (tony) Guzman-Delia, Zachary and Jason McKinney, and four great grandchildren – Emma Hildebrand, Cody and Breanna Guzman, and Releigh Delia.

He spent most of his life living and working in South Haven. He worked on a milking farm, was a police officer in the early 70s, a truck driver for Henry Green, and as a lacker sprayer for Everette Piano Company until their closing in 1986. When he retired, Willy started working on lawn mowers, weed eaters, and anything with a motor. Willy and Mary enjoyed mowing yards for other people. Willy enjoyed completing puzzles. Most of all, Willy loved to go fishing.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at the funeral home. Willy will be laid to rest at the Lakeview Cemetery in South Haven.
