Anthony's Obituary
Anthony Edward Hasan, 75 of Bangor, passed away November 12, 2022. Born on November 15, 1946 in Benton Harbor, Michigan to Willie Taft Sr. and Lessie Mae Taft.
Anthony is survived by son Leon Hasan, daughter Danielle Hasan, Grandsons; Charlie Nelson McDaniels, and Bradley Anthony McDaniels. Also survived by his sister Hazel Taft and many nieces and nephews.
Anthony is preceded in death by his parents and siblings; Thelma Taft-Tyler, Willie Taft Jr. and Larry Taft-Bey.
Anthony was a starting point guard for the 1964 and 1965 Covert High School Basketball Team when they won the State Championship. After graduating from Covert High School, he proudly served his country during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Marine Corps. Anthony was an American Muslim and attended the Kalamazoo Islamic Center.
A Graveside Service for Anthony will be Friday, November 18, 2022 at 2 p.m. at the Covert Cemetery in Covert Michigan.
