Barbara's Obituary

Barbara E. Munn, 82, passed away February 2, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. Barbara was born
on November 14, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Harry and Frances (Zawadski) Kopp.

Barbara was the proud mother of 5 children: Timothy (Rochelle) Gargus, Kenneth (Deborah) Gargus,
Christopher (Kimberly) Gargus, Robert Munn, and Sue Jordan; grandmother to 10: Eric, Justin, Kaylee,
Kenneth Jr., Emily, Madison, Bryce, Harrison, Karli and Dennis; and great-grandmother to 6: Aiden,
Aurora, Sariah, Masyn, Trace and Jayna. She is survived by two brothers and one sister: Douglas Kopp,
Constance Kopp and Harry Kopp, Jr.

Before retirement, Barbara had worked for Everett Piano in South Haven. She then worked at Harding’s
Market in Bangor while attending Lake Michigan College for her nursing degree. Once Barbara became
an RN she worked for Hospice at Home and many of the area hospitals for the remainder of her career.
She was an active volunteer for charitable organizations including the Al-Van Humane Society, The South
Haven Moose Lodge and was a proud member of St. Basil Catholic Church. Barbara loved any activity if it
was with her family. She enjoyed trying new things like Scuba diving, horseback riding and travel. She
was very adventurous and even got matching tattoos with her granddaughters Emily and Kaylee. Her
contagious laugh, love of family and passion to help others will be dearly missed.

Services for Barbara will be held April 19th, 10am at St. Basil Church with the luncheon to follow at noon.
There will also be a celebration of life on April 20th at 3pm held at the home of Ken and Debbie Gargus –
50220 CR 380, Grand Junction MI. 49056. All friends and family are welcome.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Holland or Al-Van Humane Society.
