Barbara's Obituary
Barbara Peckstein, 79 of Covert Michigan, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2023 at Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo. Born on September 23, 1943 to Raymond and Barbara Gibler in Chicago, IL. United in marriage to the late Robert Peckstein on April 14, 2002.
Barbara is survived by sons; Gregory Cartagena, Gary Stoner and Five Grandchildren.
Preceded in death by parents; Raymond and Barbara Gibler, husband of 20 years Robert Peckstein and Son Jeffrey Cartagena.
Barbara grew up in South Haven and was a 1962 graduate of South Haven High School. She worked as a loan processor until she retired. After retirement she moved back to South Haven a reconnected and married her high school sweetheart Bob Peckstein after 40 years apart. Barbara like to dance fish, camp and eat fresh blueberries from their fields.
