Barbra Kolm, 94, of Berrien Springs, MI passed away Monday, April 6, 2026, at Myra’s Place in Berrien Springs.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, April 10, 2026, at the Berrien County Youth Fair Youth Memorial Building 9122 M-139, Berrien Springs, MI 49103. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Berrien Center. Friends may visit with the family from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Thursday, April 9, 2026, at the Berrien County Youth Fair Youth Memorial Building. Memorials may be made to the Berrien County Youth Fair. Those wishing to share a memory of Barbra online may do so at www.heritage-chapel.com
Barbra was born October 4, 1931, in Niles, Michigan, to Fred and Alma (Radewald) Foster. She graduated from Niles High School in 1949. On October 5, 1957 she married the love of her life, Edward Kolm, in Niles.
Barbra was the secretary of the Board of Directors and fair manager of the Berrien County Youth Fair, serving from 1965 until 2005. Her kindness and unwavering dedication to BCYF touched the lives of many and her spirit will forever remain in their hearts. She and Ed enjoyed polka and square dancing, traveling, camping, and baking, particularly her cherished Christmas sugar cookies. Above all, Barbra treasured the time she spent with her family and friends.
Barbra is survived by her daughters, Carol (Bill) Nutt and Karen (Ken) Klug; grandchildren Amy Knauf, Sara (Andy) Buursma and Allyson (Zach) Schuman; and great-grandchildren, Sam, Suzy, Ellie, Molly, Zoey and Dublin.
Barbra was preceded in death by her husband, Ed, grandson, Scott Nutt, her parents and siblings Frances, John, Dale and Harry.
